Martin Vogt

Martin Vogt is CEO of MPC Energy Solutions and at the same time a Managing Director at MPC Capital with overall management responsibility of the group’s global renewable energy activities. He joined MPC Capital in 2014. Previously, he was Vice President at Global Capital Finance, where he also started his career, and was responsible for originating, structuring and executing cross-border renewable energy transactions. Martin Vogt has more than a decade of experience in the renewable energy sector and executed transactions in excess of USD 2 billion and 2,000 MW installed capacity in Europe, Latin America and Asia. Martin Vogt has a Master in Technical and Commercial Management with a focus on Energy & Resources from Clausthal University of Technology, Germany.

Stefan H.A. Meichsner

Stefan Meichsner is CFO of MPC Energy Solutions. He has more than 12 years of combined experience in the finance and renewables industry. Stefan Meichsner started his career as strategy advisor for Siemens before moving into various M&A roles as advisor and principal at Roedl&Partner, Forum Media, and Drägerwerke across various industries incl. private equity, media and medical equipment.

Furthermore, Stefan worked at Stadtwerke Munich (municipal utility), which is the largest public investor in renewable energy in Germany. At Stadtwerke Munich, he was CFO for two subsidiaries with full management responsibilities for concentrated solar power, wind and solar PV assets in Spain and Germany. Stefan holds a MBA and Diploma in Economics.

Fernando Zúñiga

Fernando Zúñiga is responsible for the business development in Latin America and the Caribbean at MPC Energy Solutions. He was previously Managing Director for Central America and the Caribbean at MPC Capital. He has more than 12 years of experience in the renewable energy industry as a consultant, principal investor and project developer. Before joining MPC Capital, Fernando worked at Solarcentury and Grupo Ecos, a Swiss family office, and Suntrace GmbH. He holds a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy from Oldenburg University in Germany and a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology.

Juan Esteban Hernández

Juan Esteban Hernández is responsible for the development of solar PV and wind projects. Juan Esteban has more than 12 years of experience in developing renewable energy projects in Latin America and the Caribbean and joined MPC Capital from Martifer Renewables as country head of Colombia in 2019. Prior to Martifer Renewables, he worked at HMV in Colombia. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and holds a Master in Renewable Energies from the University Carl von Ossietzky in Oldenburg, Germany.

Martin Garcia Perciante

Martin Garcia Perciante is responsible for the implementation of energy efficiency and hybrid projects combining different generation and storage technologies. He has over 15 years of business experience in the energy sector, and was previously Commercial Director of MPC Capital’s operations in Colombia. Prior to joining MPC Capital, he held executive positions at GreenYellow and Enel. Martin holds a MBA from the Los Andes University in Colombia, and a Bachelor’s degree from the Iberoamericana University in Mexico.

Peter Ruth

Peter Ruth works at our office in Colombia and is responsible for the construction management of our projects. Peter has more than 20 years of engineering experience, 15 of which in renewable energy projects. During his career, Peter held various positions at Acciona, Juwi, DNV GL and TÜV Rheinland among others as Project Manager, Consultant, Owner´s Engineer and Site Manager for more than 30 solar PV parks in Europe and Latin America. Peter also offered training courses in 8 Latin American countries for local engineers in the field of quality of installation and O&M (including two trainings for GIZ in Bolivia). Peter has participated in PV projects with a total of around 1,2 GWp and holds a degree in civil engineering from the University of Moedling and a degree in environmental techniques from the University of Weihenstephan.

Victor Atehortua

Victor is an electronic engineer from the Antioquia University (Colombia), specialized in Project Management. He has more than 13 years of experience in design, evaluation, operations, and commissioning of projects and has a Master degree in Energy and Sustainability from the University of Southampton, UK. Victor has worked with leading companies, such as EPM, Solar Century and Enertis/Applus.

Hans Bouma

Hans Bouma is a Certified Public Accountant with many years of experience in the field. He held related positions, among others, at Deloitte (1998 to 2002) and Intertrust Netherlands (2002 to 2007), where he grew accustomed to working internationally and supported and led the financial management of a great number of group companies. In 2007, he joined ABN AMRO as Financial Director and Manager in the real estate business.

Julian Andres Tellez

Julian Andres Tellez works as Project Manager in the Development and Construction Management team at our office in Bogota, Colombia.

Johana Jose Conjaerts-Lares Sanchez

Johana is responsible for accounting of our Dutch entities and additionally oversees the accounting for our entities in Spain, Colombia, Panama, and for our project companies in Latin America and the Caribbean. Born in Venezuela, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2006, Johana moved to the Netherlands almost ten years ago and has held several accounting positions since. Between June 2019 and August 2021, she worked as an accountant for Eurus Energy Europe, a company that develops, invests in and operates wind farms and solar PV projects worldwide. Johana has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and has also experience as an Auditor in Latin-American Firms (4 years). She is a Certified independent Public Accountant (CPA).

Cilja Schwan

Cilja has been with the MPC Capital Group since April 2018 after completing her Master's program in the treasury team. She is now a dedicated member of our accounting team in Amsterdam.

Paula Andrea Castañeda

Paula is an environmental engineer from the Universidad Libre (Bogotá, Colombia), and is currently in the middle of her Master Degree in Information Management and Geospatial Technologies. Paula has two years of experience working in renewable energies project development in Colombia with Greenyellow, where she gained experience in project management, cadastral feasibility and land securement. As Project Manager, she is part of the Development and Construction team located in Colombia, and supports all technical activities.

Hedwig Stormink

Hedwig is responsible for our company’s corporate housekeeping matters, maintain and update corporate policies, manage our office in Amsterdam and support our team’s day-to-day tasks as executive assistant. She joined us with many years of experience as a paralegal and executive assistant for companies like Roland Berger and Henkel.

Diego Villasante

Diego Villasante is originally from Spain, but has been living in the Netherlands for a few years now. After graduating from the University of Salamanca in 2015, he spent four years with Deloitte’s audit department in Madrid, and later moved to Amsterdam to join KPMG, also as an auditor. During his time with these two Big 4 firms, he gained experience across a number of industries. He also earned a master’s degree in audit and accounting from the ICADE Business School in Madrid.

Nestor Gutierrez

Nestor has more than 20 years of experience in the energy sector in Colombia, with a focus in the energy generation & trading business, M&A, regulation and in the structuring and developing of energy projects. Nestor holds a Master in Renewable Energies and Energy Sustainability from University of Barcelona, a specialization in Energy Mining from University Externado de Colombia, a specialization in Environmental Management from University Pontificia Bolivariana and a Bachelor in Geological Engineering from University Pedagogical and Technological of Colombia.

Juan Carlos Valencia

Juan Carlos is a Geologist with more than 20 years of experience in negotiation, social investment planning and handling communities in Colombia. At MPCES he is responsible for the execution of our social engagement strategy, conflict resolution and strengthening of our ESG indicators of our portfolio. Juan Carlos has a postgraduate degree in Environmental and Social Management, with a specialization in Corporate Social Responsibility of the Externado University in Bogotá.

Wayne Grant

Wayne Grant is based in Jamaica and responsible for our development activities on the Caribbean islands incl. our ongoing developments in Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic as well as supporting the construction team of our solar PV & BESS project in St. Kitts.
